Responding to Christ by engaging in social transformation, KAIROS empowers the people of God and is empowered by them to live out their faith in action for justice and peace, joining with those of goodwill in Canada and around the world.
KAIROS: Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives unites Canadian churches and religious organizations in a faithful ecumenical response to the call to “do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8).
Informed by biblical teaching, KAIROS deliberates on issues of common concern, striving to be a prophetic voice in the public sphere.
Inspired by a vision of God’s compassionate justice, KAIROS advocates for social change, amplifying and strengthening the public witness of its members.

In November 2012 KIRC met within sight of Champlain's over-wintering location on Saint Croix Island. At this link is an article on the international recognition of the 400th Anniversary of Champlain's stay.
Passamaquoddy Chief Akagi (seen below as in the link) getting the French Medal of the Legion of Honour) and Maliseet Alma Brooks (video from the UN here) talked with KIRC about the hopes and dreams of the Wabanaki Confederacy and the Passamaquoddy People and the Creation we share.
In October 2013 KIRC travelled to Whistler meeting around the fire at the SQUAMISH LIL'WAT Cultural Centre learning about the co-operation of the Four Host Nations Society and their successes. Chief Bill Williams met with us, seen here at the Opening of the Vancouver Olympics.
